Three Surrey players represented London and the East in the National Under 18’s Super-4’s competition at Loughborough University.

The London side won all three of their 50 over matches and one of their two T20 matches in the competition that ran from 19-23 August.

Adam Thomas – who featured for Surrey in the Metro Bank One Day Cup campaign, had a brilliant tournament with the bat. The Guildford CC batter scored a century in the victory over The North before an unbeaten 50 from just 20 balls in the 197-run victory over the Midlands.

16-year-old left arm spin bowler Ralphie Albert took three wickets at the tournament but impressed in the T20’s with his economic bowling. Albert – who plays his club cricket for Banstead CC, conceded 47 runs from eight overs in the T20’s. His performances have earned him a place in the England U19’s squad for the upcoming Youth ODI tri-series against Scotland and Ireland at Loughborough!

Reigate Priory CC seam bowler George McLoughlin started the competition well, taking 3/50 in the opening 50 over victory over the North.
