The Hundred returns this evening with the start of the Men’s competition, whilst the Women’s competition will kick off at The Kia Oval on Thursday 11 August.
20 Surrey players will be taking part in the competition and here’s where you can see them in action:
11 Surrey players will be representing the Oval Invincibles. Sam Curran, Tom Curran, Will Jacks, Jason Roy and Reece Topley will be turning out for the Men’s team. Whilst Surrey’s club captain Aylish Cranstone will also be playing for the Invincibles alongside Alice Capsey, Kira Chatli, Eva Gray, Kirstie White and Danielle Gregory.
Last year’s winners Southern Brave have retained the services of Surrey T20 captain Chris Jordan and England international Sophia Dunkley. The Brave have also acquired left arm spinner Dan Moriarty, who is selected for the first time for the competition.
Wicket-keeper batter Jamie Smith has been chosen as a Wildcard pick by the London Spirit. England international Nat Sciver and South East Stars captain Bryony Smith will turn out for the Trent Rockets.
Laurie Evans will represent the Manchester Originals. Surrey’s Jamie Overton and Dan Worrall were drafted to play for the Originals but have been replaced after suffering injuries.
Jordan Clark has been called up to play for the Northern Superchargers, replacing the injured Brydon Carse in their squad. Ollie Pope will play for the Welsh Fire before joining up with England’s Test squad for the series with South Africa.
The Hundred at The Kia Oval
The Kia Oval will be the home ground of the Oval Invincibles. Four Men’s games will be played at The Kia Oval – starting tomorrow (Thursday 4 August) against the London Spirit. The Kia Oval will play host to three Oval Invincibles Women’s matches, starting with the double header on Thursday 11th August against Northern Superchargers.
Please note, next week’s double-header between Oval Invincibles and Northern Superchargers will see the Men play first at 15:00, with the Women’s game starting at 18:30.
Members with a County (including 22-25 and 16-21) and Pride of Lions Membership are able attend all home Oval Invincible fixtures by showing their Membership card at the gate. Members will have access to the usual unreserved areas of The Kia Oval: The Micky Stewart Members’ Pavilion, the Laker Balcony and the Peter May Garden.
