Kira Chathli, Tilly Corteen-Coleman and Dani Gregory have all signed contracts to play for Surrey in the 2025 season, bringing the total of players confirmed to seven.

Kira Chathli has been on the Surrey pathway since the age of nine, making her Surrey County debut at 14 years old, and has played 45 times for the South East Stars. The wicket-keeper batter was part of the Oval Invincibles side that won the Hundred in 2022; this year she will represent the Trent Rockets. Chathli is currently recovering from a stress fracture of the foot.

Tilly Corteen-Coleman has burst onto the scene this year, taking four wickets in four balls against Northern Diamonds earlier in the year. The 16 year-old has been part of the Stars’ Academy and Emerging Player Programme since 2023 and will represent the Southern Brave in the Hundred this year. This will be her first full-time professional contract.

Leg-spinner Dani Gregory has been part of the Surrey set up since U12s and was the leading wicket taker for the South East Stars last year. She has been a fixture in the Stars team and is the most capped player for the regional side. She was part of the Oval Invincibles side in the first two years of the Hundred before joining the Southern Brave last year.

The South East Stars will take on the Sunrisers at the Kia Oval this Saturday.

Emma Calvert, Director of Women’s Cricket, said “It’s great to add three more players to our 2025 squad and I’m so pleased they are going to part of the team next year. Kira has played an important role at the top of the order for several years now and her glovework has been excellent.

“Tilly is such an exciting young player and has a huge amount of potential, she is already showing this season that she is ready for senior cricket and we can’t wait to how she develops. Dani has played such an important role on and off the pitch in the last four years and I know how proud she will be as a Surrey player to represent the Club as a professional.”

Kira Chathli said “This is an incredible opportunity to represent my home Club and I am so excited to get going with the team. I owe a huge amount to the Club for helping me to develop as a player and to come full circle and be a pro at the Kia Oval is going to be such a special moment.”

Tilly Corteen-Coleman said “It’s a dream come true to sign my first fully professional contract and I can’t wait to get started with Surrey. The South East Stars set up has been so helpful for my own development and I am beyond grateful for all of the opportunities I have been offered so far and to everyone involved for helping me get to this point. I am very excited to be on this journey with such a great team around me.”

Dani Gregory said “I’m really honoured to continue being part of the Surrey family given my long history with the club and am buzzing to pull on the Three Feathers next year. I’m so grateful to all of those at Surrey who have made this dream come true for us. This is a really important moment for the women’s game and I’m proud to see Surrey leading the way.”
