Sai Sudharsan is returning to Surrey and will be available to play in this weekend’s round of County Championship fixtures, where Surrey take on Essex.
The Indian batter joined Surrey last year, playing twice as the Club secured the County Championship title away at Hampshire.
Sudharsan had another strong season for the Gujurat Titans in the IPL, scoring his first century in the competition and making over 500 runs. The top-order batter also made his ODI debut for India, impressing with two half-centuries in three innings against South Africa.
Surrey take on Essex in a top of the table clash at the Kia Oval, with the Club hosting a Festival of Red Ball cricket on day one of the fixture.
Alec Stewart, Director of Men’s Cricket, said: “We saw how good a player Sai is last year and we’re pleased to welcome him back into the group, where he fitted in perfectly.”
Sai Sudharsan said “I’m so excited to represent Surrey again. I loved my time with the group last year and want to do my best to help the Club achieve more success. The Kia Oval is an incredible place to play cricket and I can’t wait to get back out there wearing the Three Feathers.”
