It’s match day at the Kia Oval from Friday 25 April to Monday 28 April as Surrey take on Somerset in the Rothesay County Championship.
Gates open at 10:00am, with play starting at 11:00am.
Match-specific Information
HOW TO FOLLOW THE MATCH?
The first home County Championship game between Surrey and Somerset will be available to watch via the Surrey Live Broadcast on YouTube.
Surrey’s social media channels will post regular in-game updates, with highlights and a report being published at the end of each day on the website.

The pitch location will be confirmed closer to match day.
DAVID STEWART LIBRARY
Every match day in the Rothesay County Championship, Members are invited to visit the David Stewart Library, located in the 175 Suite, in the SSE Energy Solutions Stand.
The library is open for Members to use and borrow books, and is run on a honesty ledger. The books that are available to borrow will be in the open cases, and if you wish to borrow a book we kindly ask that you provide your name, Membership number and the title of the book in the ledger provided. The library book cases will open on the mornings of the match and will close 30 minutes after the end of play.
Getting to the Kia Oval
The Kia Oval is easily accessible via several modes of transport and is within easy walking distance from a number of Tube stations. For more information, please view our match-day guide.
For County Championship and One Day Cup matches, there is limited bike parking available for spectators inside the venue by both Hobbs Gate and Alec Stewart Gate, in the form of bike racks. This is allocated on a first-come-first-served basis.

Venue Opening Times
Domestic Match-days:
Gates open 1 hour before the first ball for all domestic fixtures including County Championship, Vitality Blast and One Day Cup. Specific start times for each competition vary by fixture and will be communicated to all tickets purchasers and Members ahead of time. Start times can also be viewed on our fixture list here, or on your tickets.
International Match-days:
Gates open 2 hours before the first ball for all international fixtures including Men’s Test Match and ODI and Women’s IT20. Specific start times for each competition vary by fixture and will be communicated to all tickets purchasers and Members ahead of time. Start times can also be viewed on our fixture list here, or on your tickets.
Members Info
For this fixture, please note the following:
- There is no access to the Lock Balcony facilities or bar, while the roof undergoes corrective repair work to make the stand watertight.
- There is reduced access to the Duchy Suite on Days 2, 3, and 4 due to a closed event; the Laker Balcony remains open and accessible.
- There is limited access to the 175 Suite on Day 4, access to Peter May Garden remains possible.

What You Can Bring
The International Cricket Council (ICC) has implemented a ban on the importation of alcohol, glass containers and metal cans. Following close consultation with the Police and Health and Safety advisors, alcohol will not be permitted on the following match-days: Test Match, One-Day International, Vitality Blast and The Hundred.
For other match-days, such as Rothesay County Championship, Metro Bank One Day Cup and Surrey Women fixtures, alcohol importation is restricted to a maximum of four 500ml cans of beer/lager or a 750ml plastic container of wine per person. No further alcohol will be permitted on any subsequent re-admission to the ground.
Members and fans are also welcome to bring food into the ground on match-days.

The following food and drink outlets are open for this fixture:
- Surrey Tavern, serving a variety of draught beers, spirits, and wines
- Nip Back Inn, offering a selection of sandwiches, pies, sausage rolls, and sweet treats
- Pizza n Co, serving freshly made pizza
- Ice cream vendor
Please note that the Kia Oval is a cashless venue. Please bear this in mind before attending a match day.

Reporting Incidents
REPORTING DISCRIMINATION
We stand against discrimination in all its forms and are committed to ensuring that cricket is a game for everyone.
If you have experienced or witnessed discrimination, you can report it to the Club here. On matchdays, this will then be shared directly with our Match Control Room.
Alongside bringing the incident to the attention of our Match Control Room, we also advise you to report it to the Club at equality@surreycricket.com and/or through the ECB’s website here. Any reports will then be triaged by the ECB and investigated by the relevant cricket organisation.

If you wish to raise a complaint on a matchday, please talk to your nearest steward or report it via an online form here.

ANTI-SOCIAL BEHAVIOUR AT THE KIA OVAL
Anti-social behaviour is not tolerated at the Kia Oval. This includes the use of discriminatory language, the throwing of cups or building large stacks of cups – anyone who takes part in such behaviour will be ejected from the ground and banned from returning in future. If you see any anti-social behaviour, please report it via the Kia Oval App or https://www.kiaoval.com/report/.
Sustainability
Surrey County Cricket Club has pledged to achieve Net Zero carbon emissions by 2030. This is an important and ambitious target to ensure that we can continue to play cricket and operate in the future.
To help us achieve these goals please consider bringing reusable containers if you are bringing food onsite, bring a reusable cup or bottle to use the water fountains, and ensure you are using the correct bins while attending the game.
