Surrey County Cricket Club Chief Executive Richard Gould speaks to journalist Adam Collins about on and off the field matters at the Club in 2020.
Only two months of cricket were possible in the 2020 domestic season, with Surrey’s run to the final of the Vitality Blast a clear highlight.
COVID-19 restrictions kept Surrey Members away from all but three days of play at The Kia Oval this summer and the scheduled England internationals with West Indies & Ireland in South London were moved to bio-secure venues.
However, a new and improved live streaming service kept fans up to speed with the Club’s first team while One Oval Square – set to boost capacity and provide more world-class Members facilities and events spaces – is expected to be completed by the start of the 2021 cricket season.
Collins, a freelance reporter and co-host of the much-loved podcast The Final Word, previously sat down with Gould following the 2019 campaign for a similar debrief.
