Surrey have named a fourteen-man squad for their home opener in the LV= County Championship against Leicestershire – taking place at the Kia Oval from Thursday April 15 – Sunday April 18.
Seamers Reece Topley and Gus Atkinson have been rested after last week’s trip to Bristol and replaced by West Indian seamer Kemar Roach and World Cup Winner Liam Plunkett. There are also spots for Matthew Dunn, Daniel Moriarty and Will Jacks, all of whom will be looking for their first start of the season.
All-rounder Rikki Clarke has been playing for the Second XI against Hampshire at Woodbridge Road in Guildford this week as he continues his return to full match fitness.
Leicestershire started their campaign with an innings defeat to Hampshire at the Uptonsteel County Ground and will looking for a reversal of fortunes on their trip to London.
