With Laurie Evans & Jamie Overton now back from the Abu Dhabi T10 League and self-isolating in their homes, Mark Church caught up with the pair over Zoom.
Evans has had a busy winter, starring at the Lanka Premier League before a less impressive stint in the UAE. Overton, however, was named the MVP of the T10 League as he finished leading wicket taker following Team Abu Dhabi’s third place finish.
The pair are also fairly fresh to the Club, having signed during the course of the 2020 summer. Evans, a Surrey Academy graduate, returned to The Kia Oval from Sussex and ended up as our top run scorer in the Vitality Blast, where we ended runners-up.
All-rounder Overton came in and played a key role with the bat too, helping us over the line in crucial group stage fixtures.
While they enjoyed pulling on the Three Feathers in 2020, they are both keen to see fans back in 2021.
