Priyanaz Chatterji, Charlotte Lambert, Bethan Miles, and Jemima Spence have signed with Surrey ahead of the 2025 season. This move brings the number of players contracted by the Three Feathers for next year to 18.

Lambert, Miles, and Spence have penned rookie contracts with the Club, allowing them to balance their university studies with professional cricket, while Chatterji has agreed a part-time contract to manage her international commitments with Scotland.

Chatterji, 31, represented Scotland at the 2024 ICC T20 World Cup in the UAE and has played for her country over 65 times across formats. The allrounder, who has been a part of the Surrey county set up since 2017, was awarded a South East Stars contract last year, having made her debut against Northern Diamonds in 2023. This summer, Chatterji played three 50-over games for the Stars.

Left-arm spinner Bethan Miles played 14 times for the Stars and has represented the Surrey county side since 2022. Miles, who is also able to add handy lower-order runs, is currently studying at Loughborough University.

Jemima Spence played 12 times for the regional team, with a top score of 45* in the eliminator of the 2022 Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy. The wicket-keeper batter represented an England Development squad against Sri Lanka in 2023. Like Miles, Spence is currently studying at Loughborough.

Fast bowler Charlotte Lambert has been a regular in the Surrey county side for several years and was part of the same England Development side as teammate Spence. Although she did not make a senior appearance, Lambert was of the South East Stars Academy and is currently at Exeter University.

Lambert and Spence also feature in the England squad that has been selected to play the ICC Women’s U19 World Cup 2025 in Malaysia.

Emma Calvert, Director of Women’s Cricket, said: “As we take these exciting new steps forward for the women’s game, it is important that we also retain the flexibility to support players personal circumstances as well. These players all have additional commitments as well as playing for Surrey but we wanted to make sure we are giving them the best opportunity to hone their skills as well.

“Priyanaz brings a wealth of international experience and will add depth to the squad whilst continuing to represent Scotland. For Bethan, Jemima and Charlotte, continuing their university studies is hugely important but we also know the talent that they have and will bring to team not just this year but in future years as they continue their development as cricketers.”
