Surrey County Cricket Club are the 2024 County Champions!
After Somerset’s defeat against Lancashire at Emirates Old Trafford earlier today, it has been confirmed that Surrey CCC have won the Vitality County Championship for a third year in a row! It is also a fourth triumph since 2018 under the stewardship of Rory Burns.
Having collected their eighth victory of the campaign by overcoming Durham at the Kia Oval yesterday, Surrey currently have 221 Division One points, meaning their 26-point lead over Somerset, who are second in the table, is unassailable with only one fixture remaining in the 2024 season.
